Picnics and Poetry
WORKSHOP | autumn equinox floral workshop with daisy fung
Celebrate the coming of fall with a candlelit evening of floral appreciation and flower arranging at Picnics and Poetry 〰️
Learn how to build an artful and layered flower arrangement with Daisy, a Vancouver based flower artist and gardener.
In honour of the Autumn Equinox and drawing on the seasons as creative guide, the class will indulge in a rich and playful palette: the most beautiful garden blooms, turning and tinted foliage, ripening fruit, wistful textures, and forgotten wild flowers.
Many of your materials will come from Daisy’s personal cut flower collection, along with carefully collected forage and wildings. Daisy will introduce and explain your design elements, and show you her approach for crafting an arrangement with depth, visual interest, and a sense of poetry.
Participants will watch a demonstration and then have a chance to create their own arrangement with Daisy on hand to provide any further guidance or advice desired. The class aims to inspire thoughtful engagement with organic materials and the role of flowers as an art that enriches our everyday.
Price includes instruction, all flower materials and basic container for building a full and detailed arrangement, plus a glass of delicious bubbly!
Please bring your own snips if you have them. Clippers (sanitized before use) can be lent out if needed. Masks are mandatory.
